The CAMRA LocAle Scheme is an accreditation scheme to promote pubs that sell locally-brewed real ale, reducing the number of ‘beer miles’ and supporting local breweries.
If you are a licencee in the Trafford & Hulme branch area and interested in joining the scheme, read on. If you are not in the Trafford & Hulme branch area, we recommend contacting your local CAMRA branch (see www.camra.org.uk). Most CAMRA Branches run a LocAle scheme.

Q. What if beer from a brewery is delivered 50 miles away to a distribution centre before being delivered back to my pub only 10 miles away from the brewery?

How CAMRA defines local varies from branch to branch to suit local perceptions. What a city dweller considers "Local" can be very different to a rural resident.
