2nd MOSI Real Ale & Cider Festival
Thurs 22nd – Saturday 24th March 2012
Back, bigger and better for 2012. Now over three days with twice as much real ale and cider plus new foreign beers bar.
Following the success of the first Real Ale & Cider Festival held at Manchester Museum Of Science and Industry (MOSI) in 2011, MOSI and Trafford and Hulme CAMRA are pleased to confirm the expansion of the festival for 2012 with an extra session added and more beer than before. There will also be a larger range of food available and more entertainment.
Once again the festival will be held in the museum’s Power Hall, so as well as sampling excellent real ale, ciders & perries, visitors will be able to wander amongst the museum’s collection of railway locomotives, rolling stock and oil, gas, air & steam powered engines.
Funds from the festival will support the museum’s appeal to install new steam boilers in the the Power Hall’s and bring the collection of steam engines back to life.
There will be 56 real ales available with approximately 40 selected from Greater Manchester’s very own local breweries (beer list to follow) and the balance from our neighbours in Cumbria. A large selection of traditional ciders & perries will also be available. Overall there will be twice as much real ale, real cider and perry compared to the 2011 festival.
New for 2012 is a foreign beers bar with an excellent selection of the best traditional beers from overseas.
